Geoff Merrill's extensive winemaking experience commenced in Australia with B. Seppelt & Son, before a stint at winemaking in South Africa. On returning home Geoff headed towards the Southern Vales where he made some memorable wines at Chateau Reynella and Hardy's.

Having gained a reputation as a maker of innovative and elegant wines, Geoff established his own winery and quickly achieved significant success in both Australian and International wine shows. Geoff has also established a high profile around the world, as a winemaking consultant and as a respected judge at international competitions.

The Geoff Merrill Reserve Shiraz 1999 - 2004 are composed of individual parcels of outstanding wine, which have undergone maturation in small French and American oak barrels for two to three years, depending on the vintage. Geoff Merrill's wines have been immensely successful everywhere, and have been awarded 23 Trophys, 111 Gold, 280 Silver, 830 Bronze medals locally and overseas
