Chard Farm Sauvignon Blanc The Chard Farm barrel cellar uses the old world technique of sitting the barrels on bare earth pits that have been filled with gravel. This lets the cellar breath, but more importantly keeps the humidity high, thereby preventing a lot of wine evaporation aka the angels share” and therefore loss of wine. Palate: The wine is fresh and lively, with good fruit acid balance. Summer in a bottle! Food: Fresh Snapper with lemon and corriander dressing on a bed of steamed seasonal vegetables.

Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2009 There are good reasons why Cloudy Bay is New Zealand's most widely acclaimed Sauvignon Blanc. "It's always extremely well-balanced, smooth and, most importantly, there's not a single sharp flavour in the mouth. Its aromatics encapsulate a broad spectrum of varietal flavours; tropical fragrances of guava and mango to ripe lime/ citrus and sweet herbs. The palate is juicy and voluminous, combining concentrated flavours with a mineral acidity that leaves a long, fresh, intense finish.

Devils Lair Fifth Leg White Blend 2009 The auspicious Fifth Leg is being enjoyed by Australians at every occasion. But why five legs? The brand took it's name from the mysterious extra leg found among the fossilised remains of a Tasmanian devil in a cave near the Devil's Lair property. For such a drinkable wine, the nose is marvelously complex. A bright, fresh and inviting palate, there are flavours of melon, lychee and a hint of tangerine, closely followed by citrus and vegetal.

Evans Tate Gnangara Sauvignon Blanc 2008 Gnangara, pronounced nan-gara, denotes the underground spring which nourishes much of the fertile region surrounding the original Evans & Tate winery. The perpetually replenished vines yield grapes with great flavour intensity and natural acidity, particularly the sites around Manjimup and Margaret River. The pungent and lifted nose offers more elements of tropical fruits, lime zest, musk and subtle grassy hints. Palate shows tremendous flavour intensity and freshness, racy with the zippy that Sauv-Blanc does so well.

Evans Tate Sauvignon Semillon 2009 The Margaret River's salubrious maritime climate of mild, wet winters and warm, even summers, produces Sauvignon Blanc more tropical in style than the grassy herbaceous characters of cooler districts. Margaret River Semillon is generally noted for its thistle/ vegetative qualities, and for the weight and structure it carries. Limited use of French oak has added integrated delicate spicy, mineral notes. The palate is juicy and fresh, with subtle layers of complex lemon and lime sorbet, crisp snow pea and fresh gooseberry fruit flavours.
