Bimbadgen Estate Botrytis Semillon 2006 375ml Bimbadgen previously claimed International Trophy for Best Dessert Wine Under £10 at the Decanter World Wine Awards in London with this graceful little number. Growing conditions at the Myall Road Vineyard in Yenda confounded the Bimbadgen winemakers for the entire 2006 vintage. The palate is elegant, fresh and ethereal; it belies its high sugar contact with fresh fruit flavours and incisive acid structure. The wine is complex, savoury and earthy with subtle charry, nutty oak balanced by fresh citrus fruit, citrus peel and straw, with a touch of nettle on the finish.

Cape Mentelle Georgiana 2009 A fresh, vibrant expression of Margaret River. The immensely popular Georgiana is a mostly Sauvignon Blanc wine with a minor component of Semillon, distinctively textural on the palate, with bright and refreshing acidity, providing balance to create the perfect summer white. Juicy white peach, guava and citrus flavours are supported with a slippery, creamy texture. Subtle cinnamon and delicate anise well complement the vibrant fruit driven palate.

Cockatoo Ridge Sparkling Brut Cockatoo Ridge is headquartered in the Barossa Valley on the principal road between the two main Barossa towns of Tanunda and Nuriootpa. This high profile site was once the old Hardy's Siegersdorf winery, built in 1930. This wine is not only delightful and pretty to look at, but it offers a robust palate the tickles with stonefruits and the tang of summer punch. Bottle fermentation and a handsome resting on lees provides both the natural effervescence and the soft, creaminess desirable in sparkling wine.

dArenberg The Noble Prankster 2008 375ml The effect of Noble Rot or Botrytis cinerea is to make the skin of grapes porous, and given the correct weather, shrivel. The wrinkled grapes are intensely sweet and full of character, producing wine with a wide array of fruit characters. There is a background of mix peel that provides a clue to the intense and complex characters found on the palate. The unctuous luscious wine coats the mouth with an explosion of exotic and intense fruit including yellow peach, quince, green melon and a wonderful lemon butter nuance.

De Bortoli Deen Vat 5 Botrytis Semillon 2007 375ml De Bortoli has written the book on Australian dessert style Semillon. "Australian botrytis semillon style is a very rich wine globally but Deen is more in line with classic Sauterne. An elegant wine displaying citrus, peach and apricot fruit characters, a touch of vanillin oak with a refreshing acidity that gives the palate wonderful length and balances the sweetness. "This may not be in the same league as its famous stable mate, the Noble One, but for price it's a stand out sticky with lots of dried apricot and cumquat flavours and not overly sweet!" -Australian Doctor, "The best dessert wine in Australia under $15, rich, lush and ripe, with honey, apricot and peach flavours, a clean, fresh, sweet finish!" -Sunday Times, "Possibly the best value sticky in Australia!" -Sydney Morning Herald.

De Bortoli Windy Peak Sauvignon Semillon 2009 Mostly Sauvignon Blanc with a component of Semillon, which contributes alluring mineral aromas, a drying slatey palate and good textural mouthfeel. "This attractive wine from the ever dependable De Bortoli stable has loads of pretty passionfruit and citrus aromas while a little grassiness comes out right on the finish. Excellent varietal characters of gooseberry and grass. The Semillon contributes citrus notes and a tight acid backbone.

Devils Lair Fifth Leg White Blend 2009 The auspicious Fifth Leg is being enjoyed by Australians at every occasion. But why five legs? The brand took it's name from the mysterious extra leg found among the fossilised remains of a Tasmanian devil in a cave near the Devil's Lair property. For such a drinkable wine, the nose is marvelously complex. A bright, fresh and inviting palate, there are flavours of melon, lychee and a hint of tangerine, closely followed by citrus and vegetal.
