Annies Lane Shiraz 2008 The ancient Quelltaler property has gone through a multitude of trials and tribulations throughout a century and a half of viticulture. Since the relaunch of Quelltaler as Annie's Lane, there has been nothing but universal praise for what is now considered one of Australia's finest, and consistently satisfying range of table wines. There are characters of plum inspired fruit, violet and a hint of chocolate. The rich expression of Clare Valley Shiraz extends on to the palate, where it develops into a medium bodied red.

Barossa Valley Estate Ebenezer Shiraz 2006 The picturesque village of Ebenezer was founded at the northern end of the Barossa Valley in 1851. The first vineyards were planted with rootstock at the time of settlement and have been painstakingly nurtured ever since. The palate is full, rich and ripe with firm flesh, concentration, and ripe rounded tannins. The finish is clean and long with fresh fruit flavours persisting well.

Barwang Hilltops Shiraz 2008 The McWilliams Barwang Vineyard is trained to yield grapes which express the unique characteristics of the exclusive Hilltops region, delivering distinctive Shiraz wines. Barrel fermentation has enabled better integration of fruit and oak, adding another layer of complexity. A rich, mouth filling palate with spicy black cherry and ripe plum fruit flavours combined with elegant floral and ginger nuances. Nutmeg and vanilla flavours are complemented by supple oak derived from oak fermentation and maturation.

Bests Great Western Bin 0 Shiraz 2007 Distinguished Langtons Classification. Shiraz has been produced at Best’s Great Western since the late 1800s, although an actual date of the inaugural Bin 0 has been lost in the annals of time. Subtle spice and aniseed palate, a textural palate displaying layers of complexity, supporting tannins and generous fruit, a touch of acid keeps the wine vital. Perfectly balanced, it finishes with supple, silky tannins.

Brands Laira Shiraz 2008 Laira is widely regarded as one of the Coonawarra’s best plantings of Shiraz. The only locally grown varietal until 1950, Shiraz has played an important role in establishing Coonawarra’s international reputation as Australia’s preeminent red wine region.
