Brown Brothers Late Pick Orange Muscat Flora 2008 A wine that's very unique to Brown Brothers, an assemblage of the fully fragrant Orange Muscat with a smaller component of Flora, two grape varietals little known or planted in Australia. Orange Muscat forms the backbone of the blend providing aromas of orange blossom to the nose and a fresh citrus hint to the palate, while the Flora contributes colour, texture and mouthfeel to the palate. The Flora component delivers lovely clean fragrances, and extends onto the palate with tropical acidity, creamy lychee, and hints of rose petal. Fully loaded with flavours of apricot and stonefruit, a refreshing grapey quality, spaetlese with doses of marmalade, essence of lemon and pith.

Gapsted Victorian Alps Muscato 2007 Gapsted is starting to make an impact with some outstanding cool climate wines!” – Peter Forrestal. The palate is alive with fresh peaches and grape, an intensely flavoured wine with chinese five spice and sweetly floral characters, balanced against relaxed citrus notes, generous and poised. Seppeltsfield Cellar No 8 Muscat Seppelt Rutherglen is made from the Brown Muscat grape, harvested at peak ripeness and fortified to give an aromatic spirit lift. This immensely satisfying Cuvée marries batches of the ripest fruit with careful oak maturation, and a highly fastidious regimen of racking whilst under cellar, with skillful and artisanal blending, to create a flavoursome, yet easy to appreciate fruit driven style. The aromatics are perfectly woven together, between layers of dried fruit florals lies a charming minerality that belies the wine's viscous texture, to drive home the point that really, this is a fruit driven Muscat in decidedly bang-right-on New World character. The palate is rich and luscious, with rich, raisined fruit balanced by a clean acidity and symbiotic, aromatic spirit.
