Brown Brothers Australian Tawny Port The richness of Shiraz and the softness of Grenache together with smaller quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignane, Mataro and other varieties, combine together in the Port Soleras at Milawa to produce this Tawny style Port. The fortifying grape spirit is subtle and the wood maturation of this young tawny port has enhanced the developed qualities of the wine. On the palate this delectable port is ample and rich with dried fruit and rancio flavours, indicating a wholesome integration of mature blended port material. It is not a cloying port, with sweetness balanced by the drying sensations that is derived from long ageing in oak barrels.

Brown Brothers Very Old Port This wine is made from Shiraz grapes grown principally on the Milawa vineyard. Shiraz grapes have been left on the vine to achieve high sugar levels to produce a rich, complex fortified wine. Port is the traditional after dinner wine, but it can equally be enjoyed with a beautiful plum pudding or similar dishes or a young blue cheese

Pirramimma Vintage Fortified Grenache 2002 Made with hand picked grapes from sixty year old Grenache vines, this specially selected fortified wine was matured in small oak barriques at Pirramimma Estate. The 2002 vintage has produced an exceptionally fine wine, rich and full bodied, with underlying fresh fruit flavours. A further nose of sweet old woods and tobacco, leathery apricots and lemon-butter middle palate. A fully flavored Grenache with a characteristic nose of sultana-tobacco and raisiny chocolate-truffle with a tropical citrus tang on the cheek and mid-palate.

The palate offers creamy richness and weight, with melon and pear flavours, as well as nervy acidity that keeps the structure tight, and sees lemon zest, grapefruit, and oyster shell notes coming through on the finish.
