The Kalleskes are one of the Barossa's leading winegrowing families, providing world class Shiraz fruit for Penfolds Grange amongst others, consistently growing some of the Barossa's best grapes. Sixth generation grape grower Troy Kalleske established the Kalleske label, branding what are now recognized as some of Australia's most superior vineyards. The winery operation is situated on the family estate, within the elite appellation of Greenock, where the traditional basket press and barrel store ensure the fruit realises it's full potential.

Barossan goodness and offering things like black fruit, dark chocolate, baking spices (nutmeg, cloves, allspice), roses, tar and a little menthol lift. The oak is unobtrusive and beautifully folded into the wine. On the palate full bodied with rich black fruit, a little raspberry, dark chocolate and spicy flavours. It’s smooth, ripe and long and enormously satisfying to drink. I think it’s probably even better than the 2005…so perhaps I should score it higher. Regardless, I’d recommend getting onto and into a bit of this gear without reservation!"

Over the last forty years Penfolds Bin 389 has developed a strong identity for consistency, reliability and exceptional value. Components of the wine are matured in the same barrels that held the previous vintage of Grange. Wine lovers enjoy it because it's delicious and ready to drink immediately upon release.
A textbook Cabernet, the varietally expressive Penfolds Bin 407 highlights the rewards of sensitive vineyard blending, through the bold Cabernet flavours supported by a judicious use of soft oak. Magnificent Cabernet, bursting with a rich panoply of cedary highlights which wrap themselves around the thick berry fruit flavours.
Introduced as one of the first Bin wines within the Penfolds portfolio, it has become an Australian classic. Penfolds Bin 28 is a ripe fleshy warm-climate Shiraz offering structure and generosity of flavour. Bin 128 has claimed an impressive chestful of awards and was twice named Red of the Year at the London International.
Penfolds has chosen sites within Tumba- rumba on the Snowy Ranges to best reflect the Bin 311 style. Relaxed integration between fruit and aged oak, excellent varietal definition, and a subdued yet beguiling nose, Bin 311 combines grapefruit and nectarine flavours with nutty complexities. The palate is steely and dry.
