Philippe owns 17 hectares of vineyards, spanning from Chassagne-Montrachet to Aloxe, with a focus on Meursault. He is connected to the Château de Cîteaux, now a hotel, and its associated Clos (Meursault Vieux Clos) in Meursault. Philippe's father purchased both in 1995 and replanted the Clos, but the hotel was later sold. Philippe has been in charge since 2006, stating "You can only do either hotels or wine, not both!"

Winery & Vintage Info

Located in a former Cistercian enclosure of vineyards, in the heart of Meursault, the PHILIPPE BOUZEREAU estate has been working on the vine for several generations. To the family and historical know-how, there is now the concern for responsible viticulture, concerned about its impact on the environment. We are two brothers, Charles and Philippe who are committed to cultivating the vine and expressing the unique terroirs of the Burgundian appellations. Winemaking also evolves to let each terroir express the typicality of its vintage. An immersion in the tasting of the greatest Burgundian terroirs, from Chassagne-Montrachet to Corton.

No sulfur is used until the malos are done here. Philippe has some new foudres in the cellar, some 300-litre barrels too, otherwise, the elevage generally uses standard 228-litre barrels.
